Project 365 is supposed to be one of those things were you don't feel behind because you work on it in bite-sized pieces and keep it really simple. And yet, here I am in early February already behind by about a month.
I tend to be one of those "procrastination by perfection" people. So with the whole kit ordering debacle, what was supposed to be a simple but extraordinarily meaningful project morphed into this whole mess of details and figuring out how to approximate the kit I've never seen in person. Without a proper system in place, I didn't feel like I could get started.
I've been diligent about taking my pictures--most days--but terrible about journaling. I have my planner and my personal journal but nothing dedicated to the project. This small thing was a huge issue for me. It's partly why I decided to do the blog in addition to the scrapbook, to have a place to journal in the present moment instead of reflecting back on the photos when I finally got them printed. I think retrospection has its benefits but this project calls for more immediate "this is who I am right now" documentation.
Soooo...all that is to say I finally got my pictures ordered from Snapfish last week and am eagerly waiting for that package to arrive. Meanwhile, I am going to get started posting again from today on with possible flashbacks. The only thing I can guarantee you is that I will most likely start and stall, start and stall but I will finish this project even if I have to rename it to something like "Project nearly 365."
